I love fall.

I just hate that it leads to winter.

But for this brief (very brief, here in Wisconsin) window, the air is crisp, and the trees are beautiful.

And this family wanted to showcase just that.

So they played.  And they loved.

And we had gorgeous light and changing leaves as a backdrop.

I first met this family at a car show last year, where I donated them a session to celebrate their victory over childhood cancer.

I was so happy when I got an email that they wanted to do photos again this year – I can’t believe how much this little guy has grown!

We ended up with muddy boots and leaf-filled hair.

And it was awesome.
